Dewatering and Water Supply Design

 Dewatering and Water Supply Design

  • Construction dewatering design; design of foundation pit drainages for foundation pits of all sizes using the wells with underwater pumps, ejectors and wellpoint systems;
  • design of combined dewatering systems and grout curtains;
  • design of persistent drainages for single buildings as well as of combined drainage systems of the cities and villages;
  • forecasting the influence of dewatering, drainage and watertight barriers upon the hydrogeological and ecological environment;
  • design of industrial and drinking water supply points from deep and shallow groundwater aquifers as well as of integrated water supply facilities.

Gidrospetsproekt uses different dewatering methods depending on the concrete hydrogeological conditions: wells with underwater pumps and with ejectors, wellpoint systems, combined dewatering systems, and grout curtains. We use new technologies that permit setup of horizontal filters in the foundation pit slopes and setup of wells with extended bottom in the impermeable footing.

Gidrospetsproekt designs persistent drainages of different construction and function: from drainages for single buildings up to combined drainage systems in the cities and villages. The project of ecological drainage was realized during the consequences of the disaster at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant liquidation.

Gidrospetsproekt makes forecast of the influence of dewatering, drainage and watertight barriers upon the hydrogeological and ecological environment.

Gidrospetsproekt has solid experience in design of industrial and drinking water supply points from deep and shallow groundwater aquifers. For these purposes the integrated water supply facilities have been designed (water supply wells, pump stations, drinking and fire water reservoirs, pipe networks).

  Gidrospetsproekthas designed drainage of more than 1,000 foundation pits of power and large-scale waterworks facilities in all the republics of former USSR as well as in Bulgaria, Hungary, Mongolia, Iran, Iraq, Poland, East Germany, Syria, Yemen, India and Cuba.
